About

Artist Bio

Kyle’s appreciation for the natural world developed early in his life and he uses photography as the conduit to bring this into form. He calls Pagosa Springs, Colorado his home. The surrounding mountains, national forest, and wilderness inspire him to capture the stunning moments and phenomena found within. His passion for skiing deep, cold snow encouraged him to purchase a video camera in his teens. Soon after, a photography course lured him into the world of DSLR’s and still images.

Over fifteen years later, he continues to explore the surrounding mountains while carrying camera gear everywhere he goes. His dogs willingly follow him into the wilderness. He obtained an Environmental Studies degree from Western Colorado University in 2013 and sold geodesic greenhouses the eight years following. His hobbies include gardening, hunting, woodworking, computer building, mountain biking, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, nordic skiing, cooking, hiking, backpacking, and all around adventuring. These hobbies influence his images by emphasizing an organic, authentic atmosphere. Kyle’s education and professional career helped deepen his connection to the planet and bring sustainability to the forefront of his daily life.

You may find Kyle on the ski slopes during the winter, gardening in the spring, hiking in the summer, or mountain biking in the fall, but you may also contact him at [email protected]. Check out his portfolio, works of art, and additional information at kineticexposure.com.
